What is missionary insurance?
Long term insurance and annually renewable medical coverage plans give you access to top quality doctors and medical care in any country where you are doing missionary work. Missionary travel insurance plans have the option of getting medical care anywhere in the world, or anywhere excluding the USA. International medical insurance plans have a range of deductibles and all medical coverage plans include emergency evacuation and repatriation.
Short term and Group Insurance plans
These missionary travel insurance plans can be taken by individuals or groups for short trips of a week, a month or even up to a year. They give the holder access to any doctor, evacuation and repatriation. They do not include care in your home country. Most plans also include travel benefits such as missed connections, interrupted trips and lost luggage.

These insurance plans are designed for both long term mission travel abroad, individuals going to do mission work in other countries and adult and youth mission groups. There are a variety of travel medical insurance plans that will fit any trip.

Global Medical Insurance is a long-term, annually renewable, U.S. style major medical insurance plan designed for U.S citizens living abroad or foreign nationals throughout the world. It provides two coverage areas: Worldwide and Worldwide excluding the U.S. and Canada. These plans have an option in the platinum plan to cover pre-existing conditions, although one still has to be approved for the plan. This company has been in operation longer than any of its competitors. There are three plan options available: Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Outreach Travel Medical Insurance plans that offer a complete package of international benefits available 24 hours a day. Outreach International provides coverage for U.S. citizens traveling outside the U.S. with coverage for brief returns to the U.S., while Outreach America provides coverage for non-U.S. citizens traveling outside their home country. Both plans are available for a minimum of five days up to a maximum of two years, in accordance with the terms of the Certificate of Insurance.
